First Approach EMS Education is proud to announce our Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) Education Program.
The Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) course provides the knowledge and hands-on skills necessary to deliver emergency medical care in the prehospital setting. Taught entirely in-person, this program emphasizes real-world application through interactive lectures, live demonstrations, and skill-based labs led by experienced EMS professionals.
Students will learn to assess and manage medical and traumatic emergencies, provide life-saving interventions, and operate effectively as part of an EMS team. Each session builds confidence through direct practice with professional-grade equipment and realistic scenarios designed to prepare students for the field.

- AHA BLS (CPR) Certification included
- Preparation for the NREMT Cognitive and Psychomotor Exams
- Local clinical and ride-time opportunities
Upon successful completion, students will be eligible to take the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians (NREMT) exams and apply for Connecticut EMT certification. This course is ideal for anyone pursuing a career in EMS, Fire Service, or Law Enforcement—or anyone ready to step up and make a difference in their community. Open to students 16+
